How We Choose Products
Every recommendation on YuvanStyle goes through the same process. Here’s exactly how we shortlist, compare and publish the products you see on this site.
Our Shortlisting Process
From hundreds of listings to the handful you see on each guide.
Research the category
We start by pulling every relevant listing in a category and price range on Amazon, so we’re comparing from a wide pool rather than a handful of familiar names.
Filter on price and value
We remove listings that are overpriced for what they offer, or priced so low that quality is almost certainly compromised, based on materials, specifications and typical pricing for that category.
Check ratings and real reviews
We look at overall rating, review volume, and read a sample of recent written reviews — not just the star average — to catch recurring complaints that a rating alone won’t show.
Compare features and brand reputation
We weigh what each product actually includes against competitors at a similar price, and factor in how established and reliable the brand has been over time.
Confirm availability
We only shortlist products that are in stock and shipped or sold by a legitimate seller at the time of publishing, and we re-check this when we update a guide.
Publish and revisit
The shortlist goes live with our own comparison and buying guide. We revisit guides periodically to swap out products that go out of stock or drop meaningfully in rating.

We compare what a product offers against its price relative to others in the same category and budget, not just against a lower price point.
Ratings & Reviews
We weigh both the overall rating and the number of reviews behind it, and read a sample of written reviews to spot patterns a star rating alone can hide.
Features
We compare what’s actually included — materials, capacity, protection, build quality — against similarly priced alternatives, not marketing copy.
Brand Reputation
We factor in how long a brand has been selling in India, its track record on quality and customer service, and how consistent that has been across products.
Availability
A great product that’s out of stock or sold by an unreliable third party doesn’t make the cut — we check stock status and seller before including anything.
Ongoing Review
Our shortlists aren’t static — we revisit guides to remove products that drop in rating, go out of stock, or get replaced by a better option at the same price.
Why Prices Can Change
The prices shown on this site reflect the price at the time each guide was last updated. Amazon prices change frequently — sometimes multiple times a day — based on factors outside our control, including:
- Seller-side promotions, lightning deals and flash sales
- Stock levels and demand for a specific size, colour or variant
- Seasonal sales events (e.g. Great Indian Festival, Prime Day)
- Changes made directly by the brand or third-party seller
Always check the final price on Amazon’s product page before purchasing — the price you see there is the one that applies, not the price listed in our guide.
